​The HoopSmart Coaching Academy is a one-day coaching clinic focused on topics that are relevant for all high school coaches. Bring your entire staff or register as an individual. Hear from accomplished high school and college basketball coaches at this fast-paced clinic open to youth, middle school, high school and college boys and girls coaches of all levels.

Coach Stan Heath has been the head coach at Arkansas, Kent State, SFU, and now EMU. Stan will be speaking on attacking switching defenses.

Coach Andy Bronkema is in his 8th year as the head coach at Ferris State University and holds a .742 win percentage including a National Championship in 2018.

Coach Greg Mitchell is in his 8th season as the head coach at Hope College and has a career win percentage of .663 including 3 MIAA Championships.

Coach Richard Westerlund is starting his 4th year as the head coach at GLCC and has taken his team to the National Tournament each of the last 3 years.

Coach Phil Sayers is starting his tenth season with the GVSU Women's Basketball program and 7th as the Associate Head Coach. He is the team's recruiting coordinator and handles much of the offensive game planning.

Coach Courtney Kust is starting her 7th year as a member of the Hope College Women's Basketball coaching staff and in 2018 was named as one of the "30 Up-And-Coming Women's Basketball Coaches" in the country.

Coach Ken George is starting his 2nd year with Hope Men's Basketball after 24 years as the Varsity Boys coach at Forest Hills Central.

Coach Chad Carlson is starting his 3rd year on the Hope College Men's Basketball staff after a storied playing career that ended in 2017 with multiple 3-point shooting records.

After an All-American college career at Hope College and a lengthy overseas career, Cramer is a nationally-recognized player development coach and owner of Coach's Edge.

Coach Kevin White is starting his 2nd year as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach for the Aquinas Men's Basketball program.

Coach Jeff Carlson is the head coach of Zeeland East who finished 18-1 in 2021 and were OK Green Champions.

Coach Pete VanKempen is the long-time head coach at Coopersville High School who has led the team to District titles two of the past three years.

Coach David Klyn is starting his 4th year as the Head Boys coach at Zeeland West High School and has worked with Point Guard College Basketball for more than 10 years as a trainer & clinician.

Coach Austin Riebel is starting his first year as head coach at West Michigan Aviation Academy. He has also been a long-time assistant coaching at Forest Hills Central and Head Coach at West Catholic High School.

Kevin Koiker is a highly respected veteran basketball official who has officiated at the high school and small college level.
